Recent Activities

1. In the financial year 2023-2024, as usual, as part of the preparation of agricultural statistics of the main and minor crops of this upazila, the data collection of 140 crops is being completed and sent to the headquarters. This statistic plays an important role in determining the GDP rate.

2. In the financial year 2023-2024, under the sample vital registration system of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, the data of birth-death-marriage-divorce-entry-exit is being sent to the respective project office of the headquarters through 05 local registrars from 05 PSU areas of the upazila on a monthly basis.

3. In the financial year 2023-2024, the labor force survey is being conducted on a quarterly basis by the concerned project office of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, through which the unemployment rate in the country is determined.
